Because the focus is in the center of the workpiece, the area of the smooth surface is larger, the cutting width is wider than at zero focal length, the cutting gas flow is larger, and the drilling time is longer than at zero focal length.

Third, remove the focus. The focus is on the workpiece. Cutting thick steel plates with a laser cutter breaks the use of this method. The top-to-bottom surface must have been cut by the thick steel plate and the oxidizing action of oxygen. Because the plate is thicker and the cutting width is wider, the cutting width can be set wider. It can be said that it is the same as gas cutting, but because the oxygen is blown away, the cut surface will be rougher.
